On Thursday, January 18th, the ESCC participated in the One Voice Coalition retreat with many stakeholders. The event was organized by the Seniors Action Quebec (SAQ) team, with support from the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN). The time together was focused on making gains in the clarity and ownership of the common purpose in caring and connecting with and for seniors and their caregivers. The Coalition’s coming to be nearly 6 years ago and its organic evolution were revisited. The collaboration toward defining a shared vision and concise mandate coherent with its evolution, priority needs, and the times led to a consensus to meet again to advance the work. The retreat was facilitated by Michelle Holliday and Sara Heppner, a duo well known for their skilled listening, responsiveness, and mastery in capturing and translating participants’ contributions in a visual way.
