Territorial Acknowledgment
The English Speaking Catholic Council’s work space is situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka, which has long served as a meeting place among many First Nations including the Kanien’kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg. The English Speaking Catholic Council respects that the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodian of the lands and waters on which we gather every day. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
African Ancestral Acknowledgment
The English Speaking Catholic Council recognizes those who came here involuntarily, particularly those brought to these lands as a result of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade as well as the Underground Railroad.

The English‑Speaking Catholic Council affirms the inherent dignity of every person and values the diverse gifts, experiences, and perspectives present within our community. Guided by our mission and in collaboration with partners and community stakeholders, we will continue to strengthen access to our programs and cultivate meaningful, responsible, and sustainable approaches to diversity, equity, and accessibility.

Identify practical ways to enhance the relevance, accessibility, and responsiveness of our programs.
